[Update] SFD officials tell us in an email that Scottsdale Fire Department technical rescue crews responded to the Brown's Ranch Trail on a lost mountain bikers call. Group mountain biking lost their direction. Bikers requested assistance off of the trail. Technical rescue crews gained access to the hikers via the use of a ATV. Bike riders followed the team out to a main road. No injuries reported.
City of Scottsdale Fire Department reminds residents and visitors when hiking or biking to: "wear appropriate clothing, hydrate, bring a cell phone, bring a map, hike/ride with a friend, and let someone know where you are going and when you plan to return."
