Mountain Rescue - Lost Dog Wash - 12200 N 124th St

Mountain rescue reported in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve on the Lost Dog Wash trail. Command post set up in the 12200 block of North 124th Street in Scottsdale, AZ.

Units responding and on scene include: E607, E614, P-606, LT606, BC602 and the Phoenix Police "Firebird" helicopter (FRBD00). Battalion Chief 602 is command/incident commander.

Scottsdale Fire Department officials tell us in an email that a 61-year-old female fell while hiking. She suffered cuts to her mouth and hand. She will be extricated from the mountain in the Big Wheel. There are currently 16 fire personnel on scene.

Scottsdale Fire recommends that hikers hike trails with a partner in case of emergencies, dress appropriately, have enough water and carry a cell phone.
