Scottsdale Arizona News has learned that power went out at the Grand Canyon North Rim on Tuesday evening at around 5:00 PM MST.
A Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge guest tells SAN that he was dining in the restaurant when the power went out at around 5 pm.
According to Maureen Oltrogge, a spokeswoman for Grand Canyon National Park, the lodge, gas station, campground, and store are without power. There is generated power in the housing area, administrative areas, said Oltrogge.
Garkane Energy is on scene. Gakane officials tells us that the outage was caused by trees knocking down power lines.
