Scottsdale Arizona News -- Cancer benefit comedy shows for screenwriter Joseph Kenny at The Comedy & Magic Club Featuring Kevin Nealon, David Spade, Dana Carvey, Roseanne Barr, Garry Shandling, Sarah Silverman, Howie Mandel & More
The Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA is the host venue for a series of benefit comedy shows for Joseph Kenny, also known as "Big Joe," who is battling in-transit metastatic squamous cell skin cancer.
Kenny says in the last year he has had two surgeries, more than 38 radiation treatments and over 45 scans. During this time he was not able to work because he has was in recovery.
Kenny is a 70' graduate of Phoenix's Brophy College Preparatory (Jesuit High School) and was the Outstanding Graduate of Tempe's College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University.
He served as the director of the 1986 Scottsdale Film Festival, produced in association with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the American Film Institute.
